Devcon 24345 Blue Threadlocker, 0.2 Oz
Description
Devcon® Blue Threadlocker is a medium strength anaerobic thread-locking material that cures between engaged threads to form a unitized assembly that resists leakage, shock and vibration. Anaerobic products lock, retain and seal; stopping leaking, loosening and corrosion. Keeps nuts and bolts from loosening, yet allows you to remove them when you need to. Eliminates nuts and bolts from coming loose due to vibration, helps prevents threads from rusting and cures without cracking or shrinking.
- Size: 0.2 ounce (6 ml)
- Anaerobic thread-locking material
- Cures between engaged threads to form a more secure assembly
- Resists leaks, shocks and vibrations
- Prevents nuts and bolts from loosening, corroding or rusting and still able to be removed when needed
- Tube.
Tips and Tricks:
- Anaerobics cure in the absence of air. As long as air is present the product will remain liquid. When anaerobic products are confined between close fitting parts and air is removed, they cure.
- Blue Threadlocker can be disassembled with standard hand tools.
- Not recommended for use on plastic threads, nuts or bolts.
Works Best On:
- Nuts and bolts on all types of vehicles and equipment including garden tools, bicycles, power tools, cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, fishing gear, grills alternators, pan bolts, brake bolts, dash boards, grills, machine tools, wherever there is a threaded connection.
Features:
- Tensile Strength: 1600 PSI
- Color: Blue
- Working Time: 10-20 minutes
- Can be Handled In: 15 minutes
- Full Bond: 24 hours
- Temperature Range: -65 degree Fahrenheit to +300 degree Fahrenheit
- Chemical Solvent Resistance: Automotive fluids such as motor oil, gasoline, brake fluids, transmission fluids, grease, alcohol and antifreeze mixtures.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry environment in unopened container.
- Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean all surfaces of grease, oil, traces of paint, dust, etc. with a cleaning solvent and allow to dry.
Removal Methods:
- Before Cure: Use a soluble cleaner to remove threadlocker that has seeped out of the threaded connection.
- After Cure: Cured product can be removed by a combination of soaking in a Gasket Remover and mechanical abrasion such as a wire brush.
- Disassemble with standard hand tools.
Helpful Hints:
- Anaerobics cure (harden) in the absence of air. As long as air is present the products remain liquid. When anaerobic products are confined between close fitting metal parts and air is evacuated, they harden.
