Directions:

  • Protect Work Area From Spills
  • Clean and Dry Surfaces to Be Bonded
  • Apply Gorilla® Super Glue
    • Apply a small amount of Gorilla®® Super Glue to one surface. Excess glue can cause delayed or failed bond. One drop covers one square inch.
    • To use nozzle, unscrew upper cap and remove. To use brush, unscrew full cap and wipe the brush on the inner rim of the bottle to remove excess glue.
  • Secure
  • Press two surfaces together for 10-30 seconds to achieve bond. Note that gaps and uneven surfaces may cause delayed bonding.

FAQ's:

Is Gorilla® Super Glue Brush and Nozzle glue formula the same as original Gorilla® Super Glue?

  • Yes. Gorilla® Super Glue Brush and Nozzle use the same formula as original Gorilla® Super Glue.

When should I use the brush versus the nozzle?

  • Use of the brush versus the nozzle is up to the user's preference. The fine bristled brush is designed for controlled coverage with less mess. The precision tip nozzle is designed for quick, easy dispensing.

Will the bristles of the brush harden in the glue?

  • If used and stored according to directions, the brush should not harden in the glue.

How long before the glue on the brush hardens once it has been removed from the bottle and before application?

  • It is not recommended to leave the brush out of the bottle unless it is being used for application. However if left open to air for 1-2 minutes, it remains usable.

What is the proper way to store after use?

  • Wipe the thread of the bottle. Clean after with a dry cloth. Wipe the brush off after use on the lip of the bottle opening to remove any debris. Then wipe of the lip with a dry cloth. Any outside particles in the glue may cause a weaker bond on future applications.

How do I use the brush and the nozzle?

  • To use the nozzle, unscrew upper cap and remove. To use brush, unscrew full cap and wipe the brush on the inner rim of the bottle to remove excess glue.

How can I prolong the shelf life?

  • Moisture that gets into the bottle can cause the adhesive to set up and harden. The best practice is to immediately replace the cap and store in a cool, dry location.
  • There is a metal pin in the cap of Gorilla® Super Glue that helps create a tight seal as well as keep the tip clear of dried adhesive.
  • We do not recommend storing your Gorilla® Super Glue in the refrigerator. Because super glue can release gas, it should not be stored near food.

Why is my bottle of Gorilla® Super Glue half full?

  • For high performance and usability, the adhesive needs to be protected from air. One way keep the air out of the adhesive is by packaging in thick plastic bottles. If the thicker plastic bottle was completely full of adhesive, it would be too hard to squeeze the glue out of the bottle.

Can I apply Gorilla® Super Glue to a minor cut or to repair a broken fingernail?

  • Gorilla® Super Glue should not be used for intentional contact with the skin.

How do I remove from my skin or my project?

  • To remove Gorilla® Super Glue from your skin, soak the bonded area in warm soapy water or acetone (finger nail polish remover works well). The key is to be patient and NEVER pull the area apart.
  • Gently wiggle the area to allow the soapy water or acetone to penetrate the bond. After soaking, the adhesive should come off easily. Keep in mind that acetone can strip your skin of oils, so apply moisturizer after removal.
  • To remove Gorilla® Super Glue from the surface of your project, soak bonded area with warm soapy water or acetone. Keep in mind that acetone can mar the surface material or discolor fabric.

Can Gorilla® Super Glue withstand extreme cold temperatures?

  • Gorilla® Super Glue can typically be exposed to temperatures ranging from -40°F to 200°F without breaking down.
  • However, there can be variation to this range due to the way different substrates expand and contract in extreme temperatures.

Is Gorilla® Super Glue heat and water resistant?

  • Gorilla® Super Glue works well in temperatures as high as 200°–220°F. However, too much exposure to extreme heat will cause the strength of the bond to be compromised. Likewise, too much exposure to water, especially warm water, can compromise the strength of the bond.

Can I use Gorilla® Super Glue on paper?

  • Yes, it will work on paper. Only apply a small amount. It is not acid free, therefore, not recommended for scrapbooking.

How do I use Gorilla® Super Glue?

  • Gorilla® Super Glue is easy to use. It dries in 10-30 seconds and no clamps are needed. Simply clean the surfaces of your project to get rid of dirt, dust and grease. Apply a small amount of Gorilla® Super Glue (more isn't always better; use one drop per square inch). Then put your pieces together and hold for 10-30 seconds. Note that gaps and uneven surfaces may cause delayed bonding.
  • You can handle your project lightly after 1–5 minutes. Maximum bond strength is achieved after 24 hours.
  • After you purchase Gorilla® Super Glue, make sure to keep the package for tips and directions.

How is Gorilla® Super Glue different from Original Gorilla® Glue?

  • Gorilla® Super Glue is a cyanoacrylate adhesive, while Gorilla® Glue is a polyurethane. Unlike Gorilla® Glue, Gorilla® Super Glue does not require extended clamp time or moisture to activate. It does not foam during set up. In addition, Gorilla® Super Glue is recommended primarily for indoor applications only.
  • Gorilla® Super Glue is ideal for smaller repairs that require an instant bond and projects where clamping is not needed.

What makes Gorilla® Super Glue different from ordinary super glue?

  • Gorilla® Super Glue is reinforced with rubber to secure your projects with a less brittle bond. This helps your project resist bumps, bangs and drops. We call it Impact-Tough®.
